Must Watch: True South (SEC Network)

Posted by Greg on Oct 9, 2018 in TV |

The day job has squeezed life into a barrel so our apologies for the near three week hiatus.

As we continue to broaden the scope here beyond just music (did anybody end up seeing Goyo: The Boy General?) we wanted to shed some light on one of our new favorite shows of 2018.
As a lover of both sports, food and small town diners, the SEC Network show True South is an absolute delight from start to finish. At only 30 minutes, the show actually leaves the viewer wanting more after it ends, which is about all you can ask for in a TV show. Packed with a first-rate soundtrack (Jason Isbell, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Cicada Rhythm), John T. Edge’s smooth-as-whiskey narration and some of the best restaurateurs in the south, it is the next great travelogue-cum-foodie series to savor. Move over Guy Fieri, you have met your match.

The show airs Tuesdays at 7 on the SEC Network. Don’t have the SEC Network? Shame on you. Everybody should have the SEC Network. No but seriously, check out this write up for more details on how to view it. And please, order the SEC Network if you don’t have it.
