Song of the Day: Wylder – “Ghosts”

One of our favorite bands of the past few years has been Washington, D.C. quartet Wylder. From their 2015 debut single “Sunstroke,” produced by the criminally underrated Ted Comerford, to their 2016 debut album Rain and Laura, the band continues to up the sonic ante with each successive release.

Last week the band released new single “Ghosts” off their upcoming album Golden Age Thinking, due out July 12. The band is in short an indie-folk outift that marries the sounds of bands like The Head and the Heart, Fleet Foxes and Blind Pilot into something that is equal parts introspective, effortless and deeply engaging. “Ghosts” is both understated, minimalist and wholly satisfying.

Here’s to what lies ahead. The future is indeed very bright. Remember the name: Wylder. They’ll be headlining major stages in due time.
