Next time you find yourself in New York City, do yourself a favor and check out Walk on the Wild Side NYC. The brainchild of Jesse Rifkin, a lauded New York musician and musicologist, Walk on the Wild Side is a walking tour that offers a glimpse into New York’s arts scene and the many famed faces who have contributed to New York’s vast art history.

To date, Walk on the Wild Side NYC has been highlighted by the New York Times and AM New York. They also possess a five-star rating on Trip Advisor. Yes, Rifkin and his crew are that good.

Highlighted tours include a Patti Smith + Robert Mapplethorpe Tour, a Beastie Boys tour, a Basquiat tour, a Sonic Youth tour and an Arthur Russell tour.

We haven’t lived in New York in almost a decade and quite frankly, rarely miss it, but tours like these, yeah, they have us yearning.
