Anderson .Paak is Grammy Nominated Yet Again

We’ll be frank, we don’t dabble much into R+B music much, but when talent is there, it has to be recognized. California songwriter, rapper and percussionist Anderson .Paak has been nominated for two GRAMMY Awards. His album Ventura has been nominated for Best R+B album and his track “Come Home” featuring Andre 3000 has been nominated for Best R+B performance. .Paak is no stranger to the GRAMMY Awards. He won last year for Best Rap Performance for “Bubblin’.”

Ventura, which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200, has capped off a busy year for .Paak. He also released the album Oxnard this year, which debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200. His release of Oxnard led to an appearance on SNL, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, CBS This Morning and The Daily Show. Oxnard was produced by Dr. Dre and featured the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, J. Cole, Q Tip and Pusha T.

Ventura on the other hand was more our cup of tea. Featuring the likes of Smokey Robinson, aforementioned Andre 3000, Jazmine Sullivan, Brandy, Nate Dogg and Lalah Hathaway it was as smooth and enveloping as it sounds. That album led to appearances on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Make it Better,” which featured Smokey Robinson was his first #1 song at Urban Adult Contemporary Radio.

In short, we’l be rooting for .Paak to win again this year. His talent is too good to overlook. And his live show, hot damn, that’s a whole other level. We’ll have thoughts on other Grammy nominees at a later date.
