Those in around the Nashville area might want to put Feb. 19 on their calendar. That night, the Grand Ole Opry House, hosts Reportin’ for Duty: A Tribute to Leslie Jordan.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) Research Partnership. Reportin’ for Duty is slated to feature musical performances, stories and insights into the life of the late actor, comedian, writer and singer.

Featured musical performers include:
-Eddie Vedder
-Maren Morris
-Brothers Osborne
-Brittney Spencer
-Billy Strings
-Lukas Nelson
-Jake Wesley Rogers
-Ashley McBryde
-Fancy Haygood
-Jelly Roll
-Danny Myrick
-Travis Howard

A collection of Jordan’s film and TV friends will also fly in for the benefit concert. Those names include the likes of:
-Jim Parsons
-Anthony Mason
-Mayim Bialik
-Cheyenne Jackson
-Max Greenfield
-Margaret Cho
-Robyn Schall
-Leanne Morgan.

The house band for the evening will be the same studio band that performed on Jordan’s 2021 debut album Company’s Comin’. An event such as this is reason 156,591 why the urge to move to Nashville wil always be strong. One can only hope a CD will be released of the event for those not able to attend. Either way it sounds like a fitting way to honor a truly hilarious and genuine human being.
