There’s no stopping Drew Holcomb

One of our favorite singer-songwriters is Nashville, TN’s Drew Holcomb and anyone who has spent a minute with the guy or a minute listening to his music might understand why.

Aside from his criminally underrated work with his band The Neighbors, Holcomb is also an entrpreneur and lately he seems to be turning all the right knobs. Last fall, he launched Magnolia Record Club, a vinyl subscription service where he collaborates with other artists to send out exclusive vinyl records along with self-described “listening notes” for each album. Project collaborators include a who’s who of critical darlings, including but not limited to: Lee Ann Womack, Chris Stapleton, Patty Griffin, The Lumineers, Jason Isbell, Wilco and Joseph.

Beyond the Magnolia Record Club though, Holcomb’s Moon River Festival in Chattanooga, an event he founded in 2014, sold out earlier this month in less than eight hours. This year’s lineup includes the likes of The Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Judah and the Lion, Trampled by Turtles, Mavis Staples, Margo Price, Joseph, The Secret Sisters, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Holcomb and the Neighbors, and many more.

For those of us unlucky to attend (yep, that includes us), here’s hoping the YouTube page will whet our appetites until 2019.
